WATCH: Cuyahoga Falls VFW Reopening This Fall
Plans call for a section of VFW Post 1062 to be open for its members by early October.
On Tuesday morning, Mayor Don Robart, Post 1062 Quartermaster Ronald Moore and John Ostlund, among others, watched the demolition of the original VFW, which was ravaged by fire in late February.
Fortunately, over the decades, several expansions were added to the original structure, which survived the blaze.
The remaining sections are being rebuilt by Ostlund Construction, and Moore hopes to see the first portion of the building reopen by Oct. 8.
