OMG, this gives Mayor Don ANOTHER excuse why this project is taking so long. He might've arranged it to buy some more time? When did they tear down Montgomery Wards? About 5-6 years ago? Why the delay in getting this thing started?

I loved Montgomery Wards (LOL). Bring us some good stores. Chapel Hill Mall is going down the tubes.

They probably thought the materials had been abandoned, since nothing has been done at the site in.....I forget how many years.

I thought the corner of State & Portage Trail was the Mayor's private sandbox... Why would there be conduit and construction supplies there?

They've been working at that site off and on since August of last year (2012). If you haven't noticed, there are signs all over the place, because part of the work was to widen the roads in the area. The mayor is doing a great job. It's just a sign of the times -- everyone is feeling the "crunch" and I'm sure it affects construction companies as well.
