Usually it isn't nice enough to grill for the Super Bowl, but this year there's a good chance many will be firing up their Webers. I usually make my own salsa because I don't like the cooked-tomato flavor of jarred salsa.

A quart of plum (aka Roma) tomatoes, half a red onion, a clove of garlic, a seeded jalapeno pepper, 1/4 cup cilantro leaves (or more if you're like me and love the soapweed), the juice of one lime, and a pinch of salt. You can either hand-chop for a coarser salsa, or use a food processor.
