Stealing From the Elderly; Bizarre Theft: Cuyahoga Falls Police Blotter

The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Feb. 19. It does not indicate convictions.

Out of luck

Cuyahoga Falls police hit a dead end in the case of an 88-year-old resident who lost $200 in cash and a Dell laptop to a suspected thief.

The elderly Cuyahoga Falls man -- who lives in the 100 block of Graham Road -- called police on Feb. 19 after realizing he'd been robbed of the cash and the $550 computer.

Police had a female suspect, but the trail went cold after officers found out she had recently moved to Florida, according to the police report.

Dude, where's my grille?

On Feb. 19 around 9 a.m., an unidentified man reportedly pulled his truck into a driveway in the 1600 block of Bancroft Street, and proceeded to steal two grilles and a pair of outdoor fire pits from a residence.

There are no leads or suspects.
