School District Adds One More to Its Twitter Roster — Superintendent Nichols
Nichols said students' extra access to the superintendent is proven to improve connectedness throughout schools
Students and parents in Cuyahoga Falls will have one more avenue to engage with the head of the school district.
Superintendent Todd Nichols recently signed up for Twitter (follow him at @CFTMN) and says the extra access is proven to improve connectedness throughout schools.
At a recent Cuyahoga Falls School Board meeting, Nichols said he has gotten some great ideas about school connectedness from the book "Getting Smart" by Tom Vander Ark, which concentrates on "the digital world and digital delivery."
In reading the book, Nichols had been preparing for a trip to Bowling Green State University, where he would sit on a dissertation defense from one of his former administrators.
"The dissertation is on school connectedness and the relationship between how connected a student feels with their academic performance, and substance abuse, and behavior expectations as well."
