Rockin' on the River lived up to its billing Friday night with tribute bands featuring the sounds of Van Halen and AC/DC.

Panama – a tribute to Van Halen opened the evening with tunes from the classic Van Halen lineup of David Lee Roth, Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Michael Anthony. Fans were treated to faithful covers of Runnin' with the Devil, Jump and, of course, Panama.

Thousands of people crowded the Falls River Square for Friday night’s Rockin’ on the River. There was room to move around while Panama played, but the area quickly filled up for headliner Thunderstruck.

AC/DC tribute act Thunderstruck pleased the crowd with AC/DC classics Back in Black, namesake Thunderstruck and that tender ballad Whole Lotta Rosie. If you didn't make it Friday night, click here for a sample of Thunderstruck.
