Todd Vaughn, 42, of Cuyahoga Falls, is still being treated for serious injuries at Akron City Hospital after falling from a State Route 8 overpass last weekend.

Since he’s not yet healthy enough to be questioned by Cuyahoga Falls police, Lt. Steve Guldeman said little is known about the incident.

“There’s nothing there to suggest anything,” said Guldeman. “We have no witnesses, we have no skid marks, we have nothing to say that he jumped out of the way of a car.”

It may have been an attempted suicide, but that can't be confirmed until detectives speak to him, presumably by later next week, he added.

Last Saturday at 1:15 a.m., police got a call that Vaughn was walking along State Route 8.

Before officers could reach him, he reportedly fell from the highway overpass and landed on Howe Avenue.
