The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.
It's a case of ride-and-dash.
An employee of The City Yellow Cab Co. got stiffed April 13 when he said a man ran from his car without paying the fare.
According to the report, the taxi cab driver dropped off the 31-year-old Stow resident, who is an employee at the Cuyahoga Falls Papa John’s, at a parking lot at the 3500 block of Hudson Drive.
The cab driver told police that the man ran from his car without paying for the bill. Officers caught up to the man and said he was “extremely intoxicated.” The man has a summons to appear at Stow Municipal Court April 20.
Theft is a first-degree misdemeanor and disorderly conduct while intoxicated is a minor-misdemeanor in this situation.
