Police Blotter: Vault Theft, Drunk Cell Phone Shopper and Stolen Drugs

On the week of March 19, someone allegedly stole $1,000 from the Akron Police Department Credit Union vault, according to a Cuyahoga Falls Police report. Regina Palmer, the credit union's manager, called police on Wednesday, April 18 at 2:35 p.m. to report the theft. This past Monday, Cuyahoga Falls Sgt. James Singleton said an investigation was underway. Details are limited, but the initial report stated police had a suspect and leads. 

Public intox

A Verizon employee called police last Wednesday morning after an intoxicated customer stumbled through the door. The man staggered about, talked to himself and uttered profanities. When officers arrived to the cellphone retailer, they removed the man from the store and took him to detox.

Stolen drugs

Someone slipped into a woman’s 15th Street residence and stole 30 Adderall tablets and 40 Percocet painkillers. The woman told police on Thursday she suspects her ex-roommate swiped the pills and narcotics. Police are investigating the theft.

Burglar steals jewelry, electronics

On Thursday night, a man reported that a burglar had kicked in the rear glass door of his 11th Street residence and stole jewelry and electronics. The items were valued at $3,300.
