Police Blotter: Aggravated Robbery at Schmitt's Marathon

The following information was supplied by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated Robbery

An employee of Schmitt's Marathon on Broad Boulevard told police that on Aug. 5, an unknown man ordered him to hand over the money in the register after pointing a handgun at the employee. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Breaking and Entering

An employee of Chen's Garden told police that on Aug. 7, someone broke the rear plexiglass door window and entered the restaurant. The suspect rummaged through the cash register, taking only a little bit of change from inside. Nothing else was reported stolen.

Assault

A man told police that while he was in the parking lot of Chelsea's on the River on Aug. 7, someone assaulted him, resulting in injuries to the man's jaw. Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department treated the man on site, and then he was taken to Akron General Medical Center North. The man does wish to prosecute, but witnesses gave two different suspects and neither suspect could be found.

If my memory serves me right. Schmitt's Marathon has a NO Concealed Carry sign on the front door of the store, I don't think the robber cared much about the sign, after all isn't robbery against the law already, so what's a gun charge to him? MAYBE. It's time to RETHINK that policy.

Naw, hoss. Don't need no CCW cowboy shooting the place up trying to save the day, thanks anyways.

Pretty odd that this article leave the description out of the suspect. I think it's funny that Robin Anderson is so offensive with her obnoxious statements towards people she does not agree with. Personally, I am not supportive of a CCW but I respect and feel the citizens have the right to carry if they wish, after all people would not need to carry if these thugs did not already have the guns and are going around commiting armed robbery IN OUR CITIES. Accoring to RA this is probably a high ranking CEO that robbed this gas station.

Well, I must say that I'm impressed, what is it, Niko? Someone who can't even come up with an original pseudonym for his/her posts is going to put words in my mouth? Go back to playing your video game, eh?

I'm for law & order all the way around without any prejudice toward any socioeconomic class but most important, I don't want my arse shot up by some "good Samaritan"! A good Samaritan who can file for bankruptcy should I decide to sue him/her after the fact.Let em' post a bond if they "have a need for more security".
