Patch Picks: Five Fun Boutiques

Patch profiles five local boutiques, from vintage to contemporary, all at an affordable price tag.

There's an abundance of vintage and contemporary fashion in Cuyahoga Falls and the surrounding areas. Whether you're in the market for clothes, jewelry, gifts or furniture, here are five local boutiques, all unique and affordable.

  • 3 Daughters and a Mom Boutique - 3037 Graham Rd., at the intersection of Graham and Fishcreek. Diane Fritz has owned this boutique with "unique and affordable" fashion jewelry, handbags and gift items for the last seven years, and has been at this location for the past three. There are two hot sellers right now, Miche handbags and Roche Beads. The beads are sterling silver and fit most collectible bracelets. 330-678-8280.
  • Connie's Collections - 3255 State Rd., in the same plaza as On Tap. This consignment boutique has offered women's clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry and accessories for 15 years. To celebrate, owner Connie Owen is having an anniversary sale this weekend. She's on the lookout for "upscale, current styles only, laundered and pressed." Connie's Collections also sells brand new jewelry and accessories. The boutique was voted #1 in the Akron Beacon Journal's Best in the consignment store category. Consignment is by appointment only, to inquire call 330-920-3788.
  • A Signature Vintage Clothing and Antiques - 2208 Front St. in the Riverfront District. Open since 1996, Signature Vintage buys and sells clothing and accessories from the 1800s to the 1970s. They carry a large selection of antiques, purses, pottery, crystal, toys, paintings and more. Owner Angela Eleo is excited about new designer formals from South Beach and West Palm Beach, FL. 330-922-4528.
  • Zelio NOTO - 51 E. Market St. Akron, in the Historic District. This contemporary women's fashion boutique is next to Musica and Mocha Maiden. Lauren Ward, a Falls native and Woodridge High School graduate, has owned Zelio NOTO for three years, and carries current trends at affordable prices. NOTO also features jewelry made by Sara Candle. To celebrate the third year of business, NOTO will host a fashion show on June 18. The Rise and Shine Trunk Show, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 2, will unveil new merchandise, while customers sip on mimosas, hot tea and coffee and eat biscotti. Pre-sale tickets to the fashion show in June will also be available. A note on parking from Lauren Ward: tell the valet you're going to NOTO or the coffee shop, and parking is free. 330-990-4724
  • The Hidden Pearl - 2206 Front St. in the Riverfront District. Since 1984 owner Sea Houser has bought and sold men's and women's vintage clothes, accessories, jewelry, furiture, luggage, pottery and more.
