Looks like alot of folks are trying to get the Benghazi tragedy buried till after the election. Keep in mind a president lost his job for lying to the American people about a 3rd rate burglary known as "Watergate". No one died.

Now we have the Obama Administration including the president himself lie to the American people for political purposes, as 4 Americans were murdered. There is no time to impeach Obama, he must be defeated on Nov. 6th.

With inspector lyn on the case, what could go wrong? Oh, how about that she doesn't mention how Keith Best posts from WI. Of course she only calls out out of state contributors that she does not ideologically agree with and her double standard on this, once again undermines her credibility.

Thank you Watts for helping identify. Now go back to California.
BTW, last night I did identify someone from out of state who was calling Obama a flip flopper. Just because I'm not checking everyone, doesn't mean any double standard applies. Only that one side is doing it more or more is apparent.
So, where's my apology? Oh, that's right - that's your whine.

It isn't a whine, it is a request for an apology that is undeniably due to me. And I did see where you called out somebody who was posting conservative spam (and that, truly was spam...somebody who posts but is not interested in actual exchange of ideas, like myself). So for concluding that you were ignoring the conservative posters in your oddly intense pursuit to objectify all people not Ohioan, I owe you an apology.

See, it isn't that hard at all to show some level of integrity. You really ought to try it some time.

Poopr Beth is STILL being the good liberal and blaming Bush for everything. His leadership did ot lead to these attacks nor did Obama's lack of leadership lead to the attacks. Obama was likely not aware of the pending attacks as he does not attend the dailiy briefings like a good president would do (Bush never missed one BTW), but he was probabaly to busy playing golf, vacationing, or campaigining which is probably still better than him playing president. Keep drinking that Kool Aid Beth.Oh yea, and hats off to the 2 Navy Seals that were killed trying to do what the White house refused to do by saving those in Benghazi . Obama LIED about it being a terrorist attack and now of course he said he was saying all along it was a terrorist attack. Wake up lady!

National security will be different the day after the election? How about it might effect voter response?

Beth, those attacks were at the height of the war. And yes there were alot of people complaining about them.

But you never hear of the daily body count under Obama like you did under Bush.

Total Troop casualties under Bush in Afganistan - 575
Total Troop casualties under Obama in Afganistan - 1,428

Almost tree times as many and the mainstream media never talks about it.

So much for peace in the Middle East, Obama should give his nobel peace prize back.

Phil-
The government has nothing to do with with the Patch. The Patch is a privately owned business that can set its own terms of use. And if you had read any of my previous posts, I have a problem with spam and the like, no problem with people who have a sincere interest in this area - and I have said, like those people who may have once lived here.
Free speech is not an issue in private business. Do you cry free speech in church, at work, in a store, even at public square? There are restrictions everywhere - you need permits for some things and your minister or employer has a say, just as the owners of the Patch do.

This is a shocker!! Obama made it worse.

Oliver Stone rips Obama!

“The country Obama inherited was indeed in shambles, but Obama took a bad situation and, in certain ways, made it worse,” Stone and Kuznick wrote.

“Obama asserted presidential power in ways that must have made Dick Cheney jealous,” they wrote.

On Wall Street reform: “The biggest winner under Obama was Wall Street.”

“In 2011, Obama defied his own top lawyers, insisting that he did not need congressional approval under the War Powers Resolution to continue military activities in Libya,” they continued, in their write-up of Obama’s handling of intervention in that country.

Under Obama, spending continues to increase despite borrowing the money from China to pay for it. This is unacceptable.

K Best: Your assertion is identical to the one John McCain made yesterday. His statement was widely reported (it appears on CNN's homepage as of this posting), which hardly suggests an attempt to "bury" the issue. Further, Watergate is a cherry-picked and false analog to Benghazi. Among many other falsehoods (including initiation of illegal wire-tapping---a direct violation of the Constitution and impeachable offense indeed), former Pres. Bush lied about having evidence that Iraq possessed WMDs. The death toll resulting from Bush's distortion has resulted in thousands of deaths. An honest politician is hard to find (if one exists at all). To hold them accountable, we must try harder to offer intellectually honest critique, something dreadfully absent from our current political discourse.

Tom M: Obama referred to the Benghazi attacks as terrorism on at least 3 occasions in the days after the attack (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/oct/17/mitt-romney/romney-says-obama-waited-14-days-call-libya-attack/). CIA reports provided to the administration were the source of the theory that an offensive video may have incited the attacks. That said, the administration provided conflicting messages in the weeks that followed. If this upsets you, that's fair---but I'd expect you to be equally upset and as willing to criticize pubicly Romney's conflicting messages on healthcare and equal pay for women.

Thomas Kane: Xenophobia is not a political stance.

With the storm barrelling down, I thought it would be worth noting this

President Barack Obama's proposal for the upcoming budget sequester would cut nearly $900 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, including disaster relief, food and shelter, and flood management at both the federal and state levels.

With all of this debt and spending why would Obama be proposing cuts in emergency aid? These are not cuts that will help us. Cut Big Bird!!!

Hey Watts, explain this quote from Obama when there was still hope in the fall of 2008

“My first priority and my first job is to get us on the path of economic recovery, to create 2.5 million jobs, to provide relief to middle-class families,” he said. But he also wanted to set up a long-term plan to reduce deficits “and make sure we’re not leaving a mountain of debt for the next generation.”

Does $16 trillion count as a mountain of debt?

And this you see as me changing the topic? Yet you then jump into economic numbers and that is all supposed to be on topic? Never mind the fact that your original post on FEMA was a reply to Nelly Z's post about Benghazi.

Watts-
So, if you use the word "harassment" back to me after I accused you of that on Oct. 12, it means something? Because of that and you stalking me, I did leave the political comment section for 2 weeks. You said before I left:

"Just stopping by to say hi. ...but you looked lonely over here so I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you."

Pretty creepy, scary stuff after you had been following me around. And the Patch allowed it. And I don't know anything about you. After our first "encounter", I tried to diffuse it by engaging in a civil discussion, but that turned again. So, after reading the above comment, I perceived a person best to keep at arms length and I took a leave. Then when I came back on, I made a point of not acknowledging your presence, but you just couldn't do the same. So, I made the mistake again of trying to swat you away. Maybe you should really think twice about how you are coming across as a threat. And I hope the Patch pays attention. Stalking should be taken seriously. If that isn't your reality, I'm sorry - but that is my perception, and pretty darn serious. But one has to wonder why you, from California, continues to hang out here besides spreading spam occasionally - it makes one wonder if you have other motives.

lyn on another melodramatic tirade. Stalking you...that is rich. The Patch people saw how all of this unfolded. I had never engaged you in any conversation at all, until you targeted me and came up with that first round of false accusations about me. And you refused to apologize for those.

At this point, the asking for an apology from you (even after I offered an apology to you when I had made a mistake), is basically a joke. It is just to remind everybody of the integrity issue that you have on here.

How is this. If you don't direct any more emails at me or write a single word about me, I will do the same. End of story, no need for a snide last word or anything else, because if you truly felt stalked, then this should be more than enough to make you happy. And likewise, you may want to lay off your false accusations against other contributors on here. The only reason you are getting heat from anybody is because you are coming out here and stating things as facts, that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. If you just gave up this little battle that is taking place in your own mind, between you and national contributors, then you could just post about the actual issues.

Those 2001/2003 Bush tax cuts were to expire in 2010 and Obama extend them. On top of that, he gave the average couple the "making work pay" credit of $800 in 2009 and 2010, and lowered the FICA deduction 2% in 2011 and 2012 giving the average family $1000 each year. That's the $3600 Obama boasts of. Not only did he extend Bushs, he added to them with those AND others for other people making less - they get money BACK having kids if they make a lower income. This is how almost 50% Americans pay no federal income tax. Is that right that the other 50% should when we all live in this country? Shouldn't everyone contribute something, the wealthy the most and the poor the least? But, instead, we give people money over and above what they have paid, withheld or owe - i.e., if they owe NOTHING, they can still get thousands back from the government in a refund check. Nice, huh?

Another problem is, that 2% reduction means now Social Security is funded less, because THAT is the source of funding SS. So, what do they do? The government makes that up from the general fund - and the debt then goes up. What sense does that make? And what happens when they don't extend this reduction? People will look at it like a tax increase, which it is not.

Too bad YOU can't discuss with me how that $3600 was spread over the last 4 years and Obama liked the Bush tax cuts so much that he extended them - and added to them. Now all that ends in 2012?

Maybe you are better versed in TARP and the role Bush and Obama had in it. Lets discuss the current status, the loss to the government from monies put towards GM and Chrysler.

Otherwise, why should someone from Florida or California be on here when there are plenty of people to discuss national issues with in their own states. We all know its to try and influence our votes. After all, why did most of us come to the Patch - to come and discuss with our neighbors. Otherwise, we would go to a national site.

Lyn uses her mind instead of the canned spam that you contribute. I'm voting Obama but you turn me off just the same, person using the alias "Beth Norquist".

Wherever Romney goes, he LIES, like he did at this Dayton "relief event."

Romney's campaign bought $5K in food donations and tried to make it look like they were the attendees' donations!

What's even more ridiculous, the Red Cross and Salvation Army, the two biggest relief organizations -- DO NOT ACCEPT FOOD DONATIONS! Duh!

If he can't even honestly run a local relief event, how could Romney begin to run a country?

Find out how you can TRULY HELP Hurricane Sandy victims at:
www.redcross.org and www.salvationarmy.org (No food, please.)

Jean - How much food did you donate to the Dayton "relief event". Also, 4 years of not doing what was promised ---- well ---- is that not a lie? Come on........let's call it what it is ........ someone did tell a non-truth about a lot of things since 2008 and they are also cutting either 90mil or 90bil from FEMA and a whole lot of money from Medicare. Enough said......
