Nominate the Best Elementary Schools in Cuyahoga Falls

Let us know the best elementary schools in Cuyahoga Falls so we can put them to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

Which is the best elementary school* in Cuyahoga Falls?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows to nominate the best scholastic spots in the area.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

You can find nearby schools in our Patch Directory.

All you need to do to nominate an elementary school is add it in the comments below. If you already see the school you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all elementary schools to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it.

*Elementary schools in the Cuyahoga Falls and Woodridge school systems will be considered, as well as parochial schools.

Can we say Newberry, despite it being gone for about eight years?

Otherwise, St. Joes.

Richardson Elementary. Richardson has a very diverse population economically. Often, when we see an area such as test scores that need improvement the focus and resources are aimed at one particular group of students. This past school year Richardson, thanks to the hard work of its teachers and other support staff, had increases across board in a number of important areas, such as student achievement. Additionally, Richardson had decreases in behavioral problems and office referrals thanks to their recently implemented PBIS program. They have a number of opportunities that students can participate in to help build future leaders for our community. Parents are also very involved in the school. It is rare to walk into the school and not find parents helping. Finally, the staff at Richardson understands it is important that students acquire the self-knowledge necessary to make informed career decisions. To that extent they offer a career readiness program to help students understand the relationship between educational achievement and career development. Next year this program will be expanded with an even larger Career Day program to help students employ career management strategies to achieve future success and satisfaction.
