Lewd Harassment; Menacing by Stalking; and Belligerent Drunk: Falls Police Blotter

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls Police reports dated Sept. 18-19. It does not indicate a conviction.

Relentless harassment

On Sept. 18, a couple living on the 1200 block of Gaylan Drive reported someone had knocked over the gas grill in their yard and taped a pornographic picture to the back door of their home. According to Cuyahoga Falls Police reports, the man and woman said the harassment began on Sept. 17 when someone cut out the screen to their sliding door, lit off firecrackers next to their car and posted a sign demanding the couple move out of the house. Police are investigating.

Menacing by stalking

A Falls man called police on Sept. 19 after he noticed a woman following him from Akron University to his home on the 1500 block of Front Street. The man reported he knows the stalker and that she's caused him "mental distress." He was referred to the Prosecutor's Office.

Belligerent drunk

A Sheraton Suites employee asked for police assistance on Sept. 19 after a belligerent and intoxicated guest refused to leave the hotel. When officers arrived, they spotted the man wandering around the parking lot. He was issued a disorderly conduct citation and has been ordered to appear in the Mayor's Court.
