Gas Prices Are Dropping

After months of creeping up toward $4 per gallon, fuel prices are dropping.

Have you noticed a little less pain at the gas pump lately? Gasoline prices have been steadily dropping in the last couple of weeks, and there are reports of gas falling below $3 per gallon in the Columbus area. That rate is no use to us in Northeast Ohio, but it could be a harbinger of good things to come.

Prices have reportedly dipped as low as $3.13 (and 9-10ths) at Sam’s Club, 1189 Buchholzer Blvd.

The Sunoco at Bailey Road and Lincoln Avenue is reportedly $3.17

Many stations are now pricing regular fuel just under $3.20, at $3.19 (and 9-10ths), including the Schmitt Family Food Mart at Broad Boulevard and Second Street.

Fuel prices tend to be volatile, but at least they’re moving in the right direction for the time being.
