Funnel Clouds Reported in Cuyahoga Falls

Cuyahoga Falls Police report damage, the National Weather Service extends its Tornado Watch for Summit County.

Police say two funnel clouds were reported in Cuyahoga Falls Wednesday evening. The severe storm whipped into town with heavy winds and rain.

Cuyahoga Falls Police Lieutenant Dale Gramley said two funnel clouds were reported, but they did not touch down. They were spotted near 21st Street and 6th Street at Morrison. Gramley said most of the damage took place on the city's east side, including down power lines and trees.

As for power outages, Gramley said they're sporadic and Cuyahoga Falls Electric crews are handling repairs at this time.

The National Weather Service extended its Tornado Watch in Summit County until 10 p.m. tonight. Click here for more details from News Channel 5 Meteorologist Mark Johnson.

Morrison and 6th Street do not intersect. Maybe Oakwood Drive and Morrison?
