Falls Police Blotter: Man Swings Axe Into Windshield; Running From the Cops; and Car Thefts

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports, dated June 23-25. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

A man causing a ruckus off Oakwood Avenue on Sunday thought it a good idea to run from police who were trying to arrest him. After a short foot chase, police caught the man and found a knife on him. He was charged with disorderly conduct, prohibited weapon and obstructing.

Axe man

A man called police last weekend after someone he knew took an axe and swung it into the windshield of his father’s sedan, parked in a driveway on the 2300 block of Theiss Road. According to the report, the man was unsure about whether to press charges. Estimated damage: $800.

Cleaned out

Last Saturday, a man reported that someone shattered his passenger window and stole his wallet and an envelope full of money. The man lost numerous credit cards and $2,000 in cash. His car was parked along the 1700 block of State Road.

Car theft

While a man was buying groceries from Acme at 2226 State Road on Monday, a thief was stealing items from his BMW parked outside. The crook made off with a set of golf clubs, valued at $1,200.
