Cuyahoga Falls Man 'Huffs' Duster, Crashes Car Into House

The following information was culled from Cuyahoga Falls Police reports. It does not indicate a conviction.

Editor's note: This week, Cuyahoga Falls Patch will feature some of the most popular stories of 2012. Here's one of our most-read police blotters about a hapless drug user.

Looks like this Cuyahoga Falls man zigged when he should have zagged.

At 6:43 a.m. on Sept. 15, Cuyahoga Falls Police were called after a car crashed into a residence on Bailey Road.

Upon arrival, officers found the driver in possession of a 12 oz. can of Ultra Duster: a cleaning product, which can also be inhaled to induce alcohol-like intoxication.

According to police, the man admitted to "huffing" the product while driving southbound on Bailey, causing him to veer off the road.

Officers reconstructed the accident and reported the man crossed the northbound lane, jumped a curb, drove over a front lawn and smashed his 2012 Chevy Cruze into 2211 Bailey Rd.

Neither the driver not the resident were injured.

The man was cited for abusing harmful intoxicants and failure to control.
