Dave Matthews Tribute Band Ready to Rock on the River
For its second week, the annual summer-long concert series aims to bring in another capacity crowd. This time, with Dave Matthews Band and classic 80s covers.
Back by popular demand, the only nationally touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band is back and will take center stage Friday night at Rockin’ on the River.
The six-piece ensemble – aptly named The Dave Matthews Tribute Band – “has worked hard to bring musical expertise and an energetic stage presence to remake and provide fans with a true ‘DMB experience,’” according to rockinontheriver.com.
The opener, Cleveland’s Breakfast Club, will start the night with some of your favorite covers from 80s bands like Journey, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Aerosmith and more.
The show starts at 5 p.m. at Falls River Square. Parking and admission is free.

People either love 'em or hate 'em. Who out there agrees/disagrees with my fellow Local Editor on her disdain for Dave Matthews?

I personally enjoy some of their tunes from time to time, but don't understand the crazy DMB die- hards! Now that you don't hear it all the time on the radio, I wouldn't mind checking out the local tribute. Too bad I can't make it tonight :(

I love DMB and hope the rain holds off for tonight. The best songs from the band are the ones that never hit the airwaves.

I grew up in the DC area and I'd often visit my friends who were attending UVA. I gonna see them this year hopefully tickets prices aren't too high at Ticketsinventory.com . They were awesome back then, I'd imagine they are even more so today.
Those pics are great! Thanks for sharing.
