Cuyahoga Falls Residents Roll Up Their Sleeves To Donate

Residents from Cuyahoga Falls and neighboring communities donated their time and blood on Monday afternoon.

 

Near the end of the blood drive, volunteers working for the Red Cross reported closed to 30 area residents stopped by the Cuyahoga Falls Library to donate their blood on Jan. 3.

Donating blood is something that Cuyahoga Falls Resident Michael Toucher plans on a routine basis.

"Although I've never needed the blood, I know a lot of people who do. It's just one of those things that's always been a family thing for us," he said.

Katy Berger, spokesperson for the Northern Ohio Red Cross said a total of 37 peopled donated on Monday. With their donations, she said close to 90 lives will be touched. 

The next blood drive at the library is scheduled for March 7, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
