Cuyahoga Falls Police Officer Gregory Kenepp got a pretty big "thank you" from the Cleveland Cavaliers March 20.
The athletes designated the Green resident a Community Hero and honored him at their match with the Miami Heat that night.
The Cleveland Cavs fanatic was chosen from more than 300 people to spend an evening with the basketball team. He not only sat with with them on the bench during their March 20 game, but he was recognized during halftime and attended a post-game press conference.
He has his son Greg Kenepp Jr. to thank for it all.
“My father has been a committed fan since the day he was born and bleeds Cleveland,” Kenepp’s son shared in his nomination for the EveryFAN Night, presented by Budweiser. “If there were more people like him in the world, the world would be a better place.”
And you can catch Kenepp's big surprise at the police department in this Cleveland Cavaliers video.
The surprises didn't end there, though. Kenepp also will receive the following gifts, and then some: Round-trip limousine service provided by Shima Limousine, pre-game dinner for two at the Hard Rock Café, foosball table courtesy of Budweiser, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum one-year membership, Coby touchscreen tablet, Cavaliers scarf, personalized “Kenepp” No. 25 gold replica jersey, two tickets to see Fleetwood Mac at The Q June 15, two tickets to an upcoming Cleveland Gladiators game and two tickets to an upcoming Lake Erie Monsters game.
