Falls Police: Tip Leads to Meth Bust at Studio City Apartment

Police discovered the lab after receiving a tip to check the welfare of those living at 2319 Winter Parkway, Apt. 310.

Nicholas Sklare, 25, of Akron, and Lacey Esposito, 27, of Cuyahoga Falls, were arrested Monday morning after police found them cooking meth lab in a Studio City apartment.

The pair was charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs, a second-degree felony; illegal assembly of drug components, a third-degree felony; possession of criminal tools and drug abuse, both fifth-degree felonies; and drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor, according to Falls police Sgt. James Singleton.

The Cuyahoga Falls Narcotics Unit discovered the lab after receiving a call to check the welfare of those living at 2319 Winter Parkway, Apt. 310.

Charges are pending against a third person who was not on scene at the time, said Singleton.

A hazardous waste contractor responded to the scene on Monday to dispose of the chemical waste. The apartment has been deemed a public health nuisance and needs to be properly cleaned and inspected.
