Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial: Calling All Volunteers for Keyser Park Barn Restoration

Renovation work on the historic structure started in May and will run through July.

Calling all carpenters, painters and do-it-yourselfers, the Bicentennial Committee is looking for people like you to lend a helping hand with the ongoing Keyser Park Barn restoration.

The effort includes: removing and salvaging slate roof shingles, removing existing siding, hanging new wood siding and trim and painting, according to cityofcf.com.

Volunteers must be comfortable working at various heights on scaffolding and ladders; though, some painting will be done at ground level. Folks who apply should also be comfortable using hand and power tools.

Signing up and scheduling

The project began in late May and will proceed through June and July as necessary or until completed.

Falls Law Director Paul Janis is directing the weekend work and is encouraging folks to pitch in on the project.

Interested? Fill out the Volunteer Registration Form and forward it to the Bicentennial Committee at P.O. Box 1182, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.  The BC will contact everyone who submits an application.
