Acme Security Guard Stops Theft, Takes Punch to the Face
The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Feb. 23. It does not indicate a conviction.
Things got physical when an Acme security guard confronted an alleged thief who was trying to flee the Bailey Road grocery store on Feb. 23.
According to a Cuyahoga Falls police report, it started when a guard saw an 18-year-old Silver Lake resident stuff three bottles of alcohol into his jacket and leave the store.
As the guard stopped him, the teenager reportedly closed his fist and punched him in the face.
Police arrived on scene, arrested the teen and charged him with theft and underage possession of alcohol, both first-degree misdemeanors.
