Field already set for Ohio Senate District 28

Incumbent Sen. Tom Sawyer (D) will face Cuyahoga Falls Republican candidate Robert Roush in the fall.

 

Incumbent Democrat Tom Sawyer  and Republican challenger Robert Roush will advance to the November general election to compete for the Ohio Senate District 28.

Sawyer (D), 66, of Akron, is a member of the standing committees of Education (as ranking member); Energy and Public Utilities; Finance; and Insurance, Commerce and Labor. He is also a member of the Controlling Board; the Legislative Service Commission; the Power Siting Board; the Ohio Accountability Task Force; and the Ohio School Facilities Commission

Roush of Cuyahoga Falls, who lost a bid for Cuyahoga Falls city council in November, couldn't be reached for Patch's Ohio Senate election profiles.
