Cuyahoga Falls needs you! That is, to help clean up the river and the surrounding community.

Volunteers are invited to participate in the city's 2011 Great American River Day Cleanup and Beautification Project. Volunteers will pick up litter along the Cuyahoga River and throughout the community, help plant flowers at park shelters and entry areas, and pull weeds at Water Works Park.

Cleanup supplies, planting materials, refreshments and lunch will be provided. Volunteers are welcome to help for as long as they wish and can help on various projects.

The day will start at 9 a.m. at the  Shady Bend Shelter in Water Works Park. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring protective work gloves. Lunch will be at 1 p.m.
