Summa Western Reserve Hospital Volunteers To Be Honored By United Way

Summa Western Reserve Hospital volunteers Debbie Schreiber and Chuck Csejtey are among 50 area volunteers who will be honored at the United Way of Summit County’s 10th Annual Volunteer Celebration on Thursday, April 14 at St. Joseph’s Family Center in Akron, Ohio.

The United Way of Summit County Volunteer Center leads the community in its overall celebration of volunteers and their value in improving the quality of community life. Both Schreiber and Csejtey will be honored for their outstanding commitment to Summa Western Reserve Hospital patients, guest and employees. Both help in numerous capacities throughout the hospital assisting with everything from front desk assistance in the lobby, taking calls, and greeting visitors to helping with special events, assisting with clerical duties, and handling visitor and patient requests.

“Our volunteers truly personify our mission in providing the best possible care,” say Kathy Romito, Volunteer Manager at Summa Western Reserve Hospital. “Debbie and Chuck are two shining examples of what our service is about.  Our volunteers are often the first conduit of care in getting patients and their families where they need to be with the information they need. The demeanor with which they serve our community and the loyalty they offer in helping the hospital is invaluable. This is a great honor for Debbie and Chuck as well as the entire hospital. We are always mindful of our service to the community and pride ourselves on making it better day in and day out.”
